The Children's Learning Center is looking for a motivated, creative, energetic, team player to work with children ages 2 1/2 to 5. This person needs to be flexible, and be able to manage a classroom of 10 children.
Staff member is responsible for lesson plans using Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, and other developmentally appropriate activities. The center follows Office of Child Care regulations and is a licensed facility.
Physical and mental requirements may include sitting in child size chairs, kneeling, and bending to child’s level. Staff member may also lift or move heavy and/or bulky objects or children weighing up to 50 pounds. Staff member may have to respond to emergency scenarios and use their senses to maintain safety of the environment and children.
The position is a non-exempt 12-month position with 40 hours a week. The position offers benefits that include health insurance for individual, vacation, sick leave, and retirement benefits after successful completion of their probationary period.
Educational requirements require a Preschool CDA or Associate in Early Childhood. Enrollment in the Criminal Background Registry required prior to employment. First Aid, CPR, and Food Handlers must be obtained within 60 days of employment. Pay is $20.00 an hour.
